We will try to assist as many schools as we can, subject to availability of donated computers.
FAQ's
Is there a cost to my school?
There is no cost for the donated computers. Should you require additional services or software, we can assist to source this for you from our partners and affiliates.
Are the computers new?
No, the computers are used, but are tested to be working and have been loaded with an operating system. We provide a minimum specification depending whether your schools runs Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or other.
Do I need a computer room?
Ideally you should have a room where the computers will be kept. This room must be capable of being secured. It should have a safe power supply.
Do I need an IT Manager?
You do not need an IT manager. However, you do need a responsible person who has the desire and aptitude to learn how to support the lab.
Can you set up labs during COVID-19?
We are not setting up labs during COVID-19 lockdown, however we are facilitating donations of PC's to schools to enable learners to learn from home.
What kind of hardware do you set up?
Desktops and Laptops, depending on your need. Although most schools want laptops, there is a shortage of suitable laptops in the country at present.
